What are your fees?
My fee is $200 for a 50 minute individual session and $222 for relationship therapy.
I also offer limited sliding scale slots for clients in need. The following levels are available: $70, $100, $150, and $175.
Before beginning our work, we can talk about what feels like a fair exchange for both of us. I am always open to discussing changes in our fee as life events unfold and financial transitions arise. We will also have a yearly check in about potential fee increases.
I do not currently accept any insurance in an effort to offer a more decolonized and anti-oppressive framework to therapy.
If you have insurance and your plan provides reimbursement for out of network providers, a superbill can help you get reimbursed for our therapy sessions. You would pay me directly, and I can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance plan.

Do we meet in person or virtually?
I offer virtual sessions using Google Meet. I have found that all of the magic of therapy is still present in an online format.
I have in-person sessions available on Fridays. My in-person office is located in Hayes Valley, San Francisco. There are several options for public transportation. I am near Civic Center BART station, the Van Ness MUNI stop, and several bus lines including the 5, 21, 47, and 49. Street parking is also available but can be challenging at certain times of day.
I also offer in-person, outdoor, walking sessions on a flat trail in the redwoods of Oakland.

How long will we work together?
It’s up to you! You decide when we start and end. I will make recommendations though.
There are many factors at play that determine the length of our therapeutic arrangement. Before we get into the work of therapy, you will set goals for treatment and we will come up with a plan together. We will also identify specific and tangible goalposts to determine when and how progress is being made.
To start, I ask that all new clients commit to weekly sessions. Periodically, we will check in to assess where you are at with meeting your therapeutic goals.

What is a session like?
A session lasts for 50 minutes. We will spend the first part checking in and you can update me on how the past week went. We will collaborate on identifying a subject for our work in that specific session.
Once we find a topic, emotion, sensation, memory, or relationship to focus on, we will experiment with a variety of tools to feel your emotions, process what arises, gain insight into what you experience and all the while, use your body as a barometer for understanding yourself more deeply.
Depending on what arises we may use brainspotting, IFS/parts work, talk therapy, visualizations, roleplay, etc. to process and move through looping patterns.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel, just let me know 48 hours in advance. If you need to cancel on shorter notice and reschedule for something within a week, you won’t be charged.
We can always adjust our appointment times if we agree on an upcoming schedule question together. If we re-schedule, alternate times will be held for 24 hours when possible.
Sometimes things happen and you might be late to a scheduled session. If you are able to let me know you will be late, that is always appreciated. I understand when that can’t happen, and will see you when you arrive. After 15 minutes, if I haven’t heard from you I may choose to engage in other things, and will update you if I will be unavailable. I will always attempt to return to whatever session time we have left if you are able to make it later in our session. I will charge for the full session time, and we can make use of whatever time we have remaining. If I am late for any reason, I will extend time at the end of our session whenever possible.
